Nine Gs Wheel Components
Nine Gs carefully evaluated many components for building the wheels. The conclusion was that the DT Swiss hubs, spokes and nipples were the best components available to complement our high quality carbon rims. All DT Swiss components are 100% Swiss made. DT Swiss hubs, spokes and nipples are widely known for their very high quality and their proven success in all types of racing and riding conditions. Nine Gs wheels are currently offered with the 240s hubs. Soon, another version will be offered with the 190s Ceramic hubs. These light and high quality hubs are assembled by hand and tested individually. They are made with precision bearings, a unique ratchet mechanism, and interchangeable freehub body. The 190s hubset are weight optimized down to every little detail and include the addition of ultra-low friction ceramic cartridge bearings. Nine Gs wheels are also built with DT Swiss Aerolite bladed and butted spokes. These are DT Swiss top end spokes and are not only exceptionally light and aerodynamic, but also extremely strong and stiff. Their unique bladed shape and black finish give these wheels a very racy and sophisticated look. Finally, the spokes are attached to the rims with DT Swiss Pro Lock light alloy nipples. These nipples contain an integrated screw locking system. The two-component adhesive in the nipple thread prevents the spoke-nipple connection from loosening with use, ensuring constant spoke tension. The result is increased life, reliability, safety and high load capacity.
