Hand-built to exact specifications and very high spoke tension around the heavy-duty T5 tubular rim and proven top quality and reliable DT Swiss 240s hubs, Aerolite bladed spokes and light alloy nipples, the Exos wheels are extremely strong, stiff and durable. The rims are made from high strength aerospace grade bi-directional carbon fabrics and epoxy resin, and manufactured with proprietary high density press forming technology. The front wheel built with 20 spokes laced radially and the rear wheel built with 24 spokes laced 2-cross provide adequate structural integrity to all cyclists. The spoke nipples are externally exposed to allow for easy spoke tensioning, wheel re-truing and maintenance without having to remove the tires.

For winning races, the key attributes of Nine Gs Exos carbon wheels are acceleration and deceleration. Due to their extreme stiffness, your pedaling burst of energy transfers without losses to the ground becoming pure traction. This means instantaneous acceleration. To slow down fast, the rims feature the Nine Gs Serrated Braking Wall Solution. This proprietary manufacturing process creates a corrugated braking surface made of a special epoxy resin, which results in exceptional stopping power and modulation in even the worst conditions. Braking performance for dry and wet weather is similar to that of a high-end machined aluminum rim, and it is unmatched by any other carbon rim on the market.

At constant speed in flats and fast criteriums, the Exos slice efficiently through the wind with low drag thanks to a proprietary rim section design and the bladed spokes. The rim section has been designed to reduce aerodynamic drag at typical lateral wind angles, and to stall at high lateral wind angles for better handling in crosswinds. The exceptional torsion and lateral stiffness of the Exos wheels also allow for agile and precise technical handling and cornering as well as for effective all-out sprinting and climbing efforts. The wheels are light enough for rolling terrain and hilly races, and the rim section design provides good control on technical descents.
