5 SERIES RIM

The heart of the Exos wheelset is the 5 Series rim. Its 55mm depth gives it superior aerodynamics while its proprietary Monocoque Press Form construction maintains a very light weight rim that is extremely strong and durable. The 5 Series rim is the perfect rim for building a wheel that excels on rolling courses or races against the clock. Available in both tubular and clincher versions, the 5 Series rim utilizes Nine Gs advanced aerospace composites and thermoset technologies to optimize performance and strength. Its profile is such that it is almost invisible to the wind - creating a wheel that slices through the air with every effortless pedal stroke.

The tubular version - the T5 - utilizes HM Braking technology, which creates an optimized braking surface giving the wheel characteristics similar to a high-end machined aluminum rim – smooth, consistent and powerful – in wet or dry conditions.

The carbon-aluminum C5-A uses an aluminum braking surface and clincher configuration. This creates a very user-friendly rim that is still light, yet very convenient for everyday use, when tubulars are not as practical.
